We would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who worked hard for the 30th Anniversary events of Henry Appenzeller University from March through the end of May. Thanks to your dedication and support, we successfully held the “Night of Thanksgiving” in Korea on May 21, as well as the 30th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service and the 26th Commencement Ceremony on May 30. Please be advised that the LA Office will be closed for summer break for two weeks, from June 1 through June 12. However, all school operations and services will continue online as usual. Office Notice for American Annual Conference and the 30th Anniversary Celebration

On the 26th, we held an alumni meeting in Los Angeles to discuss preparations for the university’s 30th anniversary celebration. This week, we will have another meeting in Northern California to continue planning for the anniversary events. On the 29th at 11:00 AM, there will be a doctoral dissertation defense, followed by a deans’ meeting on the 30th at 9:00 AM. From May 5 to 7, staffs will attend the American Annual Conference of KMC at the First Korean United Methodist Church of Chicago, where our president will present a report on behalf of the university. In addition, on May 21 at 4:00 PM, there will be a 30th Anniversary Appreciation Evening at Jingwan Church in Seoul. staffs will be visiting Korea from May 17 to 23 for this occasion. Finally, on May 30, the university will hold its 30th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service along with the 26th Commencement Ceremony. It will indeed be a very busy month. During this period, the Los Angeles office will be closed, and all university operations will continue online as usual. Please be advised that there will be no classes during Easter break from March 30 for one week.

From April 6 to April 17, we will be in Korea attending various annual conferences, where we will be offering presidential greetings and presenting a report on the university.

School Events in the Last Week of January

1. Student Small Group Meeting: January 26th (Monday), 5:30 PM, via Zoom. This meeting is to reflect on the past academic semester, renew our commitment, and move forward with renewed energy. All students are encouraged to participate. 2. Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between Henry Appenzeller University and Chain Global Mission: January 29th (Thursday), 11:00 AM. This agreement outlines the terms of cooperation between the two organizations regarding the training and leadership development of ethnic Korean and North Korean defector missionaries, as well as North Korean and global mission work. 1. 학생 소그룹 모임: 1.26(월) 오후 5:30, zoom으로 모입니다. 지난 학업의 과정을 돌아보고 새롭게 각오하며 힘차게 일어서는 모임. 모든 학우들의 참여를 바랍니다. 2. 헨리아펜젤러대학과 고리국제선교회(Chain Global Mission)과의 업무 협약식: 1.29(목) 오전 11시. 조선족 및 탈북민 사역자의 육성과 지도력 개발, 북한 선교 및 글로벌 선교 사명을 위하여 상호 협력함에 있어 제반 사항을 규정하고 업무 협약을 한다.
