State Approval and Accreditation

Henry Appenzeller University is a private institution approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Approval to operate means the institution is compliant with the minimum standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations. As of March 5, 2013, Methodist Theological Seminary in America has been granted to offer the following programs:

• A four–year Bachelor of Art in Theology
• A two–year Master of Art in Theology
• A three/four–year Master of Divinity program

National Accreditation
On February 2018, Henry Appenzeller University has received accreditation by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). Henry Appenzeller University is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation (5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Ste. 130, Orlando, FL 32822, 407.207.0808) to grant certificates and degrees at the Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctoral levels.
